GPS & GNSS
Why does Skorost need a clear view of the sky?
GNSS receivers need usable satellite signals to calculate a reliable fix. Buildings, tunnels, covered parking, dense trees and some vehicle structures can reduce signal quality. The GNSS screen shows used and visible satellites so you can see what the receiver is actually working with.
Why can GPS speed differ slightly from the vehicle speedometer?
These values come from different systems. Skorost uses the phone's GNSS receiver, while the vehicle speedometer uses vehicle sensors and its own calibration. Small differences are normal, especially before the GNSS fix is stable or when signal conditions are poor.
Can I use Performance or Track without a good GPS fix?
Skorost can open these screens without a stable GNSS fix, but accurate timing requires one. Wait for good receiver status before starting a test or setting track lines.

Which adapter types does Skorost support on Android?
Skorost supports Bluetooth Classic, compatible Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi adapter workflows on Android. The exact connection steps depend on the wireless transport and the adapter itself.
Does an ELM327 label guarantee compatibility?
No. ELM327-style adapters vary in chipset quality, firmware behavior and supported commands. Choose a reputable adapter instead of relying only on the ELM327 label.
Why is the adapter connected but some live data is missing?
A connected adapter only confirms communication between the phone and adapter. The vehicle determines which standard PIDs, monitors and values are available. Skorost shows only the channels reported as supported.
Can Skorost clear fault codes?
Standard OBD-II code clearing is separate from read-only scanning. Clear codes only after you understand the cause and complete any required repair. Manufacturer-specific profiles remain read-only while support is being verified.
Does BMW or Volkswagen Group support mean every module is covered?
No. Enhanced support is limited to verified vehicle profiles. Skorost shows only confirmed diagnostic requests and responding modules as supported.
Performance & Track
How does a performance run start?
Choose the test while stopped safely, then arm it. Skorost detects the start and target automatically, so you do not need to touch the phone during the test.
Where should acceleration, braking and lap tests be used?
Use performance and lap-timing features only where they are safe and legal, preferably on a closed course or other controlled area. Configure the app while the vehicle is stopped or let a passenger use the phone.
Are completed runs and laps saved?
Supported Drive, Performance and Track sessions can be stored locally and reviewed later with their available summary metrics and telemetry.
Premium, data & iOS
What does Premium unlock?
Premium removes regular ads and unlocks Premium themes. A lifetime purchase provides permanent access. A rewarded ad can provide 24 hours of Premium where available.
Where is my session and Garage data stored?
Skorost stores sessions, vehicle records and related history as local app data. Use backup, restore or export before clearing app storage or moving to another device.
Is an iOS version planned?
Yes. Skorost is available now on Android through Google Play. A native iOS version is planned with similar features and design, while using native iOS technology and behavior.
